ARE YOU TAKING IN-PERSON CLIENTS RIGHT NOW?

NO. Due to COVID, I am not seeing clients in person for the foreseeable future. But I do have online consultations and training available.

I’ve been doing online sessions for years (even before COVID) successfully. I have tons of resources and ways that I support clients that make it work just as well as in-person.

For rehab, it’s not necessary to meet in person to get an accurate diagnosis and develop and recovery plan. In fact, recent research shows that telemedicine works just as well, if not better, and is more convenient.

ARE YOU TAKING ONLINE TRAINING OR REHAB CLIENTS RIGHT NOW?

YES! I am taking both.

Online is a great option for a rehab consultation. Most injuries can be accurately diagnosed online by asking specific questions, taking a thorough history, and having you perform some self-tests that I can walk you through online. From there we can build a rehabilitation plan that you can do at home or at a gym if you have access to one.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

No. I am an out-of-network provider meaning I do not accept any insurance.

NOTE: I am no longer providing super-bills (aka itemized receipts). I am a one-woman operation and t takes too much admin time for me to create them and re-do them when insurance companies randomly decide to stop reimbursing certain codes. I do not have the bandwidth for these anymore. My apologies for any inconvenience!

I do accept cash, check, credit, Medical Reimbursement Accounts (MRA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.

YOU ARE ON MY INSURANCE'S LIST OF PROVIDERS. ARE YOU SURE?

I do not accept ANY insurance.

I used to accept insurance at a clinic I worked at a few years ago and unfortunately, the insurance companies don't update those lists frequently. I am probably still on some of them even though that is incorrect.  

WHY DON’T YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Eliminating the insurance company allows me to work directly for YOU instead of for the insurance company.

Because the insurance company is not dictating care, I can spend more time with you and we’re not limited in what we CAN or CAN’T do during the sessions.

That means better quality care, fewer visits required, and accelerated recovery times for patients.

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU: Fewer visits = you will actually save money!

While the initial cost for working with me is more than an in-network provider, my clients usually only require 1-4 sessions total (with the vast majority only requiring 1-2).

CAN YOU HELP SOMEONE WITH MY TYPE OF INJURY?

I can help you with anything related to joint, muscle, tendon, nerve, cartilage injuries, or pain related to those anywhere in the body. Including (but not limited to):

  • Shoulder pain (including labral tears, rotator cuff tears, dislocations, etc)

  • Finger pain (pulley injuries, arthritis, capsular injuries, tendon injuries, ligament injuries, lumbrical tears/strains etc.)

  • Elbow pain (golfer elbow, tennis elbow, tears, strains, nerve injuries, ligament tears etc)

  • Wrist pain (TFCC injuries, tendon injuries, carpal tunnel, wrist sprain/strains, popping and cracking wrists, arthritis, etc)

  • Knee pain (heel hook injuries, tendon and ligament tears, patellofemoral pain, ITB pain, ACL tears, meniscus tears etc)

  • Neck and back pain (bulging/herniated discs, nerve entrapment, sciatica, arthritis etc)

  • Hip pain

  • Ankle pain (ankle sprains, breaks, tendon subluxations, etc)

  • Foot/toe pain

  • Recovery from surgery or preparing for surgery (pre-hab)

  • Leg pain

  • Joint pain

  • Headaches

  • Nerve pain

  • Chronic pain

  • and much more!

I can help with diagnosis, a rehab plan, a training plan, or a mix of all of those things. If you’re not sure about any condition send me a message and I’ll let you know if I can help you (most of the time I can). If it’s not something I can help with, I can refer you to someone in my network who can.

DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION OR REFERRAL TO SEE YOU?

Nope.

SHOULD I GET AN X-RAY, MRI, or other imaging BEFORE I SEE YOU?

Nope.

The vast majority of non-traumatic musculoskeletal injuries do not require imaging to manage as it will not likely change the course of treatment and can drive up expenses for the patient.

Rehab professionals, like myself, are professionally trained to rule out red flags, accurately diagnose the problem, and determine whether or not you are a candidate for rehab without imaging most of the time.

If we decide imaging is necessary after an exam, my license allows me to write you a referral for MRI/CT/x-ray etc. If after the exam we determine your case would be more appropriately handled by a surgeon or medical professional I can refer you to someone in my network.

SHOULD I SEE MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR OR AN ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON FIRST?

It’s very likely not necessary.

Most medical doctors will refer out for rehab/PT anyway for most musculoskeletal injuries so you’d be wasting a visit/co-pay seeing them first.

We can determine on the first visit whether or not a referral to an orthopedic surgeon or other medical specialist is going to be necessary. 

If it is necessary, I have a network of medical professionals I can refer you to.

WHAT LICENSES/PROFESSIONAL DEGREES DO YOU HAVE?

I have my doctorate in chiropractic. I am a licensed chiropractor, and I am board certified for physiotherapy by NBCE and specialize in orthopedic sports medicine. Physiotherapy/rehab is within my scope of practice and is primarily what I do in my practice.

Unfortunately because the merchandise we sell is print-on-demand and done by a third party, we cannot offer any returns or exchanges. Please make sure to reference the sizing chart before placing an order.
