Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider meaning I do not accept any insurance. However, if you have out-of-network coverage you may be able to get reimbursed for your session by submitting an itemized receipt to your insurance that I am happy to provide to you.
I do accept cash, check, credit, Medical Reimbursement Accounts (MRA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.
Motus Clinic has a great FAQ section that may answer some secondary questions.
Why don’t you accept insurance?
Eliminating the insurance company allows me to work directly for the patient. Because the insurance company is not dictating care, I can spend more time with patients and we’re not limited in what we can do during the sessions. That means better quality care, more efficient treatment and accelerated recovery times for patients.
What are your rates?
Go to the "Services" tab at the top or click HERE to see pricing.
Do I need a prescription or referral to come see you?
I think I might need an x-ray or mri, should I see my primary care doctor or an orthopedist first?
It’s probably not necessary. I can write you a referral for imaging if deemed necessary after a physical exam. I can also refer you out to an orthopedic surgeon (or other medical professional) for a second opinion if we decide that is necessary after a physical exam.
Do you work for Motus Clinic?
No. I am an independent contractor meaning that I work for myself. I rent space from Motus Clinic but I am not an employee of Motus. Because of this, any questions, phone calls, emails or faxes should be sent to me and not through Motus.
